Austin Bell is a photographer and writer. He only extremely rarely writes about himself in the third person with the overuse of adverbs.
He specializes in shooting landscapes at a variety of destinations across the globe, usually by drone. Many of these were featured in his Nov 2019 gallery show, Magical Places. He recently completed a book of bird photography, Birding: The First Two Years. He is currently working on a series of Hong Kong basketball courts. He wrote a book about unwittingly being at hunter-jumper horse shows called Horse Show Boyfriend. Before being sucked into this world, Austin worked in Los Angeles in post-production on music videos. Among his tasks were painting the logos off alcohol bottles in rap videos so they could appear on BET. He still occasionally has PTSD when songs like "Starships" and "I Knew You Were Trouble" are played in public settings. His most memorable work includes editing out the nudity in Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" video for TV broadcast and accidentally photobombing a Lady Gaga paparazzi picture. Before this, he went to Davidson College at the same time as Stephen Curry, where he started a TV show that the latter occasionally participated in. He is from Lexington, North Carolina, a town famous for its barbecue, shuttered furniture mills and the fact that everyone moves away from it and only occasionally returns to see their relatives. His interests include the Golden State Warriors, RuPaul's Drag Race, blasting '90s music in his convertible and chasing birds.
