Hong Kong Courts
Among the cramped space of Hong Kong, there is a curious abundance of basketball courts. These colorful rectangles serve as all-purpose playgrounds to the schools and low-income housing estates. Like the buildings that envelop them, some sparkle with newness, others crack with age. A few, like Choi Hung, have become the premier photo destinations of the city, while others of equal beauty remain hidden. These photos were taken in Kowloon and the New Territories in January 2019, and the collection is a work in progress.
