How many basketball courts can I shoot in one day in Hong Kong?

When I was shooting every court in Hong Kong, I noticed that I often would shoot over 100 in one day without trying, a testament to their density. It made me curious—just how many could I capture in one day if I made that my sole purpose? So, at the end of my shooting a few years ago, I set aside one full day, planned the route, and set my alarm for early. I thought maybe I could break 200, but honestly had no idea.

I took only public transit the entire day, starting in Tuen Mun, going to Yuen Long then Tin Shui Wai, then riding down to Kowloon City, Shek Kip Mei and Whampoa. The biggest limiting factor was actually battery life—I only had four drone batteries and they were all depleted by lunchtime—I took a three hour break but was only able to recharge 2 and a half of them during that time.

These are the photos of each court from the day in the order I took them, with the total court count and the time labeled. Spoiler by the end: I shot 475. Which is both insane and kind of made me upset that I didn’t get to 500, especially since I was kind of doing it haphazardly.

I submitted this (and the total number of lifetime courts I’ve shot) to the Guinness World Records, but they denied it on the grounds of it being a “personal achievement” with “not enough competition”—which I don’t really get but I’m claiming this as a world record regardless.
